Programmes for Schools
I have worked many years in Schools in city and rural areas (including London, Plymouth and Cornwall) and can offer primary and secondary schools programmes and have had significant experience with all ages.
The types of programmes are as follows. This will be a brief description only. Anyone interested can contact me for more information.
- Six steps of Self Esteem (11-15 yrs)
- Social Skills - For children at risk of exclusion, problems with behaviour etc (4-11 yrs)
- Life coaching - Group / Individual
- Careers coaching (11+)
- Solution Focused bully peer programmes (all ages)
- Group work- Various (fits into PSHE Curriculum)
Assessment/Evaluation
I use specific assessment processes for social skills programmes based on “Strengths/Difficulties” (John Rutter-Scales) This assesses the child when he/she first participates in the programme/half way mark and at the end of the programme. This can then identify any changes/progress child is making or has made.
When working in schools I can work in partnership with teaching staff to establish individuals learning outcomes and personal development. Evaluation forms are used and there are different ones for the service user and the teachers/parents who are closely involved with the child.
